Today so many new designs touch peoples’ imagination for a short time and then interest swiftly fades.
The outstanding longevity of the Alcock Canted leg Billiard Table design presents a stark contrast.
The earliest Canted leg Tables were made during the 1860s and they continued in popularity until around 1890. In the very early years the 8 facets of each leg were produced by hand; later they were made using a simple machine developed by the Company.

Restoration of Table No 2759 to include:

• New Trufast moulded rubber cushions
• Full check on the slate bed including machine grinding and hand finishing.
• Re-polishing of the show timbers to good antique status.
• New 6811 30 oz West of England Billiard cloth by Strachan & Co.
